I am a certified holistic health coach and hold a master’s degree in education. More importantly, I am a mother of two and grandmother of 3! Using food and lifestyle to create health for families has been my passion for decades because at a young age I learned the devastating effects of poor health.Growing up in the 1950’s, my family, like many American families, had an unhealthy diet. At the age of 17 I lost my mother to cancer. As a result I became very curious (some might say obsessed) with food, health and wellness. My specialty is working with women who want to increase their knowledge of food and health so that they can have more energy and create a solid, enduring foundation for their families.

I hold my Master’s Degree in Education and was a teacher for several years before starting my family. Today, one of my full time jobs is my family! I am a mother to three young children and live in my car most afternoons. I think one of the many amazing gifts of motherhood is having a “tribe”, that group of other moms/parents who you can talk with, laugh with, commiserate with and depend on. Making people feel connected is important to me, whether it is in our neighborhood, schools, other organizations or work. This is one of the reasons that I love writing for all of you. Something else that I’m passionate about is health and overall wellbeing for people of all ages! I currently work from home as a health and wellness consultant, offering people solutions for energy, weight management, healthy aging and athletic performance. I love helping individuals, giving them tools to look and feel their best. We have ONE life, so we should make it the best one it can be! In addition to sharing my knowledge with readers on Supplet, you can find my work on Mommybites, a comprehensive on-line parenting resource with many local chapters including Boston and NYC. http://mommybites.com/
Many words can describe who or what I am; mother, daughter, sister, artist, teacher, student and cook. I consider myself strong, energetic, passionate, caring, and driven. Living a healthier life full of love, laughter, and open communication is a goal for me each day. My areas of “expertise” as a mom include postpartum depression, divorce, work life balance, exercise, and healthy eating. Exploring other topics as they arise in my 8 year old daughter and newborn sons’ lives is something I’m very much looking forward to. I hope that by sharing my journey, experiences, and ideas with the Supplet community that others may find more strength, happiness, and health in their lives.
As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), I am dedicated to helping Moms in their breastfeeding journey. I strive to understand each Mom’s individual goals; creating a supportive and safe environment where Moms can feel good about themselves and proud of their accomplishments. Yoga is my second passion. After practicing for years I fell in love with my practice, my strength and my new sense of mindfulness. In 2013, I created my own business, Breathe. Life. Balance. (www.breathelifebalance.com) and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Teaching gives me the freedom to express my creativity while offering others the space to find a connection with their body and a more balanced life.
Being a product guru is my day job. For years I’ve worked at child product companies developing breast pumps, bottles, strollers, bath tubs, nursery electronics, etc. You can find me living in South Boston when I’m not at work or in the yoga studio.
